Since 2019, our CEO Peter Kramer has been asking why German premium sparkling wine with (traditional) bottle fermentation still has a niche existence compared to champagne. Because even international experts are finding it increasingly difficult (e.g. in blind tastings) to detect differences in taste and smell between top German sparkling wine and French champagne. So if top German sparkling wine with (traditional) bottle fermentation is on a par with products from Champagne, then it is important to put hidden champions that are currently still underestimated by consumers, in the spotlight as quickly as possible. Thus, in autumn 2021, the starting signal was given for the first Allemagner edition, which is already sold out, with the aim of bringing the result of noble German craftsmanship to the whole world.
